*Thanks for tuning in. I’m 20 years old now, starting my 3rd year of university, and I do not plan on updating this blog in the future. As a teenager, ChristianandCreative was incredibly formative to my writing — learning what I enjoy writing, trying different writing styles and genres, and discovering what it means to write for an audience. Thanks for being part of the process!*

Hello readersimg_4206-5,

When I was fourteen, my grandma encouraged me to start a blog so she could read my stories and thoughts that I continuously jotted down. Now, two and a half years later, I sit back and see how much God has grown me in my faith and my writing. I don’t write for my readers (although I am very grateful for the support they’ve given me); I write for myself, and more importantly, I hope to write to glorify God. I’m not the most godly person or the best teenage writer you will come across, but I am inspired by creation and creativity.

If you don’t personally know me, my name is Danaye. I’m seventeen, with my fair share of stress, poor time management, and a desire to make a difference in the world. I’m a lover of words, God, beauty, and moose tracks ice cream. This blog is an opportunity for me to share some of my thoughts, stories, poems, and even a few school assignments to the world. My hope is that you will be inspired in some way.

When I remember, I update my stories over on Wattpad, a website that lets me share my longer novels. Unfortunately, you have to have an account to access it, but if you do, please check them out here. (I’m in the process of editing my novel, Between Parallels.)

Finally, here are some wise words from Logan Pearsall Smith: “What I like in a good author is not what he says, but what he whispers.” Writers, remember to whisper. Readers, remember to listen.

Enjoy your stay!

  1. I love what this blog is about 🙂 it’s super impressive that you’re already so passionate about writing at such a young age! I was about thirteen when I first started and I still love it!
